ayu cacao

Ceremonial cacao is a raw and nutrient-dense cacao, naturally rich in minerals, antioxidants and theobromine which is a compound known to offer balanced, sustained energy while supporting focus and calming the body. When you drink cacao ceremonially you invite yourself to slow down, land in your body and arrive fully in the present moment. The effect isn't just about the cacao itself, but about the intention, presence and space around you - whether it's savoured in silence, in community or as a small everyday ritual.

"Jeg begyndte at udforske kakao uden at forstå dens kraft. Efter en ceremoni oplevede jeg en dyb forbindelse, som viste mig, at kakao er en naturmedicin, der fortjener respekt."

- Revatha, hjertet af produktionen i Sri Lanka.

1. Choose your amount
Start with about 20–25 g. of cacao or let your intuition guide you.

2. Chop the cacao
Cut or chop the cacao into smaller pieces so it melts more easily.

3. Warm it gently
Add the cacao and any spices to a pot. Pour in the liquid a little at a time, stirring over low heat. Continue until the cacao is fully melted and has reached the consistency you like.

It's important that the cacao doesn't boil. Keep the heat low to preserve its flavour and quality.

Tip: for an extra creamy texture, blend it at the end.
